Leo Wolf

Leo Wolf was born in Brooklyn, New York, and built a life defined by dedication, leadership, and community commitment. Early in his career, he worked as a maritime lawyer in New York City before relocating to Massachusetts, where he would make a lasting impact both professionally and civically.

In the Boston area, Leo joined Columbia Cornice Company, a family-founded commercial roofing business, where he rose to become president. His leadership helped guide the company through years of growth, reflecting his strong work ethic, integrity, and practical vision.

Leo was also involved in real estate development. In the mid-20th century, he participated in land subdivision and development projects in Newton, Massachusetts and other suburban Boston municipalities.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Leo was deeply invested in his community. A longtime resident of Newton, Massachusetts, he was actively involved in civic and religious life and played a role in strengthening local institutions. He also contributed to the development of housing and property in the area, supporting the growth of the community he called home.

Leo Wolf left a legacy of quiet generosity, steady leadership, and enduring commitment to family. His life continues to inspire those who value service, responsibility, and the importance of giving back.

Sadly, Leo was lost to colon cancer and subsequent complications at an age that's now considered young. Advances in cancer screening, combined with novel research driven drugs and treatments have provided better outcomes in recent years. As our next generation has begun to age and have their own brushes with cancer, it's time for us to get off the sidelines and onto the links.
